St. Paul’s is committed to offering programs that provide a church home where all generations of the congregation — especially children and youth — are loved and love to be.

For information on any program for children and youth, contact the Church Office.

Church School for children from preschool through high school is offered on Sunday mornings during the program year from 10:15 to 11:00 am.  Preschool through Middle School classes meet on the lower level, and the Senior High class meets in the small conference room.

Preschool, grades K-2 and grades 3-5 use Godly Play, a curriculum based on the Montessori method, along with Living the Good News, a lectionary-based curriculum.

The Middle School Class (grades 6-8) will use Rite 13, a program combining physical, social, service and discussion activities to help develop a clear sense of identity and build a strong sense of community.

The Senior High Class (grades 9-12) will be offered Journey to Adulthood in the context of a Christian formation program that prepares youth for baptism or confirmation at the Great Vigil of Easter, as well as a deepening sense of identity and faith development of the entire group.

Childcare is provided in the Nursery each Sunday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 9:45 to 11:30 during the summer.

The Treble Choir is for boys and girls in grades 4 to 6, and uses the Royal School of Church Music’s Chorister Training Program as its basis. Singers learn vocal skills, musicianship and teamwork. Midweek practices are after school, with some flexibility for athletic schedules. The Trebles join with the Canterbury Ensemble to sing for the 9:15 Eucharist on Sundays.

The Canterbury Ensemble is for singers in grades 7 to 12. Rehearsing one evening a week, the group focuses on singing excellent music from many centuries. After practice, the group adjourns for pizza and hanging out. The Canterbury Ensemble joins with the Treble Choir to sing for the 9:15 Eucharist on Sundays.

Novices (a new singing ensemble for 2nd and 3rd graders) practice Tuesday afternoons, 4:00—4:30 and warms up Sunday mornings at 8:30. Novices join the Treble Choir and Canterbury Ensemble for the 9:15 service. Contact the Canon Precentor for more information on choirs.

St. Paul’s Youth Groups aim for a mixture of education in the Christian life, participation in service projects, opportunities for fun, and the development of a supportive peer group.  The Middle School Youth Group and the Senior High Youth Group each meet the first and third Sundays of the month during the school year. Some Sunday meetings will include traveling to another area church or other special trips. Many special activities and events will also be planned throughout the year.
