Choral Evensong at St. Paul's

The Adult Choir at St. Paul's sings Choral Evensong periodically throughout the year, sometimes with guest choirs joining them.  Evensong, or sung Evening Prayer, is sung daily in English cathedrals and collegiate chapels.  A distinctively Anglican form of meditative prayer lasting about 45 minutes, it's a lovely way to end close the weekend.  The following services are currently scheduled at 5:00 p.m.:

The Choir Day will begin at 9:30 on Saturday, May 4. In the morning there will be rehearsals, ending with the Noonday Office, followed by lunch (bring your own; drinks will be provided). After lunch there will be a session of workshops in various interest areas, led by Episcopal musicians from around the Diocese. Then, after more rehearsal time, we’ll sing Evensong at 4:30; the service, at which Bishop Ely will officiate, will last about 45 minutes. Afterwards, participants may wish to enjoy an early dinner at one of Burlington’s many good restaurants.
