Service Schedule At St. Paul's Cathedral

Summer Worship Schedule (June 5, 2016 - September 14, 2016)

  • Sunday 9:30 a.m. - Holy Eucharist 
  • Wednesday 12:15 p.m. - Holy Eucharist with prayers for healing

Regular Worship Schedule (September 18, 2016 - May 21, 2017)

The principal Sunday liturgy of the Church is the Holy Eucharist, which St. Paul’s Cathedral normally offers three times each Sunday morning:

  • 8:00 Rite One
    A contemplative, said service with a brief homily. Holy Communion is followed by 15-20 minutes of silent meditation.

  • 9:00 Enriching our Worship
    Considered by many to be an especially child- and family-friendly liturgy, this hour-long service has music led by St. Paul’s Cathedral’s youth choirs. The Eucharist is celebrated by the whole congregation gathered around the Altar.

    During the academic year, programs in Christian education and formation for all ages are available at 10:00 a.m.

  • 11:00 Rite Two
    This sung liturgy is the Cathedral’s fullest expression of Anglican Eucharistic practice. Music is led by the Adult Choir; incense is used on Sundays of particular solemnity.

In addition to Sunday morning services, Sunday Evening Prayer is sung from time to time, either as Choral Evensong or in the style of the Community of Taizé, Morning Prayer is offered Tuesday through Friday, 8:30-9:00 a.m. and the regular Holy Eucharist with prayers for healing is on Wednesday at 12:15 p.m.

WORSHIP GUIDELINES DURING FLU SEASON

Do…

  • come to church. But if you’re not feeling well, use common sense and stay home.
  • greet others in the Name of Christ, looking them in the eye at the Peace. But keep a physical distance.
  • take part in the Eucharistic meal. But remember that it’s OK to abstain from receiving the cup.
  • pray for those who are ill and those who care for them.
  • use hand sanitizer.

Don’t…

  • hug or shake hands at the Peace.
  • dip the communion wafer into the cup.
  • sip from the cup if you’re not feeling well.
