About Education & Formation

The Formation Cluster is dedicated to supporting all members of the community in their journeys into lives of faith.  We are committed to nurturing inquiring and discerning hearts by providing thoughtful programs of education for all ages, an ongoing program of Christian meditation, groups for introducing the Christian faith and Episcopal traditions to those new to the Church, Bible study, and new programs as new needs evolve.  We invite everyone to use these programs to explore their questions and deepen their understanding of the mysteries that surround us.

Adult Formation Programs

The questions don’t stop after age 18—in fact, many might agree that our hunger for faith-based conversation and spiritual exploration only grows as we age.

Christian Initiation Program

The Cathedral's Christian Initiation Program (CIP) offers a time and place for adults to reflect on their faith, examine their spiritual journeys, and deepen their commitment to Christ and the Church. Through weekly meetings for prayer and study, reading and reflection, and through liturgical participation during Lent, Holy Week and the Great Vigil of Easter, participants prepare to take the next step in their Christian lives.

Meditation Center

The Cathedral Meditation Center is part of the Cathedral structure and programming, through which we affirm that each of us, individually and collectively, needs to nurture our faith throughout adulthood.

Programs for Children & Youth

Church School for children from preschool through high school is offered on Sunday mornings during the program year from 10:00 to 10:45 am. All classes meet on the lower level, in individual classrooms, each staffed by experienced and loving teachers.

Youth Group

SPY (St. Paul's Youth) - A group of youth, 6th -12th grades, exploring their faith through social events, social action work, fundraising events, and an annual Mission Trip. Why SPY?  - Raise awareneww of local, national and global needs. - Change focus to "others" instead of "ourselves." - Create closeness and unity as we work side-by-side. - Deepen spiritual commitment and church involvement. - Help every person realize that we can make a difference! - Share God's love in a tangible way.  Some of our most spiritual moments, where we're really connected to the divine, happen when we're in service to others and service of a more peaceful world.  Now, of course, that means different things to different people - so it is my job to ensure that there are a variety of opportunities available to the youth.  See our calendar for the year ~ Marti Churchill
