What time are your Sunday services?
Our Sunday services are at 10:00 a.m. Check our home page for up-to-date service times. Our worship service is both in-person and live-streamed online via the Cathedral's YouTube channel.
How long are your services?
Our Sunday services generally last about 55-60 minutes.
What are your public health protocols?
We ask everyone stay home if they do not feel well. We offer distanced seating for those who are more comfortable with more personal space.
Where are your Sunday services?
To worship with us online, please find links to our Sunday worship services on our home page. To join us in person, you can find us at 2 Cherry Street, Burlington, Vermont, located at the corner of Cherry and Battery Streets, across from Battery Street Park. Sunday services are located in the Nave of the church, which can be reached through the main doors at the top of the hill.
Where can I park?
Parking is always free on Sundays in the church lot! There is additional parking in the parking garage across the street.
What do I wear?
Members of St. Paul's wear a very wide range of attire to church, from flip-flops and T-shirts, to jeans, to jacket and tie. So just wear whatever you feel comfortable with, and you will fit right in!
Who is welcome here?
All are welcome here. Period. We believe that radical hospitality was at the heart of Jesus' ministry. All are invited to participate fully in worship, and receive communion (or a blessing).
I have children -- do you have activities for them during the services? Do you have child care?
Everyone is welcome in the liturgy; children are encouraged to participate with their families. Young children can specifically assist with preparing the table for communion. For those who wish, a self-service nursery is available to which parents may retreat with their children as needed. The nursery can be found by going down the stairs to the lower level of the Cathedral and turning left.
Do you have Sunday school?
Church School for children from preschool through middle school is offered on Sunday mornings throughout the program year following the Eucharist. All classes meet on the lower level, in individual classrooms, each staffed by experienced and loving teachers. We value an organic curriculum that includes song, stories, discussion, art, reflection, exploration, food and fun.
Oh no, I am running late!
Don't panic! You are welcome whenever you arrive. Our services are active and dynamic, and there will always be plenty of openings for latecomers to join in!
Can I have my child baptized here? Can I hold a funeral for/bury my loved one here?
Please review the information about baptisms, burial, and weddings on this website, or contact the Cathedral Administrator at [email protected] for more information!
How can I learn more?
We're so excited that you're interested in finding out more about St. Paul's! Please feel free to browse the website, contact the Cathedral Administrator at [email protected], and most importantly come in to say hello!
