The Wreath Project
Every year, the Wreath Project Committee works to make, sell, and deliver Christmas wreaths as a seasonal fundraiser for the social justice ministries of the Cathedral, most notably JUMP and VIA. The committee upholds a "tradition of joyous fellowship and beautiful craftsmanship while maximizing our donations to the most needy," actively involving many parishioners in this project.
Over 20 workers in the Northeast Kingdom region of Vermont create the wreaths for the Cathedral (through NEKBalsam in West Glover), and appreciate the money they earn to pay their own bills. Once the wreaths reach the Cathedral, a dedicated and talented team of more than 25 people perform many different jobs, from constructing the Wreath Shelter to making bows for the wreaths to delivering the finished products.
Orders for the 2024 wreath project are now closed, but you can participate by signing up to volunteer with this fun group.
