Pastoral Care
We believe that a ministry of care and support for all of St. Paul's parishioners binds us together and strengthens us as a Christian community of faith. Our clergy offer pastoral care and we also have a dedicated and skilled group of lay volunteers who visit those who are in need for whatever reason - perhaps because they are hospitalized, in nursing or rehabilitation homes, or are homebound temporarily or long-term, or grieving. Our Lay Visitors visit those who can't come to church and bring them Eucharist from our altar. The visitors share the consecrated bread and wine, sometimes sing, certainly tell stories and bring the "good news" of the love of our community into their space.
We can sometimes offer rides to help parishioners who struggle to get to church, and call during the week to check in with those who are having difficulties.
If you have any questions or feel called to this ministry, please contact the Rev. Deacon Stan Baker at [email protected].
